Plenty of installed and specified equipment runs on NiMH or NiCd — power tools, medical and industrial instruments, emergency and backup systems, and older designs where the charger and form factor are fixed. When the design specifies nickel chemistry or a drop-in replacement is the practical path, BAM builds NiMH and NiCd packs to the original’s voltage, capacity, cell arrangement, connector, and thermal protection — keeping equipment running without a redesign.

Can you rebuild a discontinued NiMH/NiCd pack?
Usually — send the original. Matching voltage, capacity, cell layout, connector, and any thermal protection is standard work.
Why not just convert it to lithium?
Sometimes the right move — but the charger, BMS, and safety circuit often assume nickel chemistry. The quote will flag whether a like-for-like rebuild or a lithium conversion is the better path.
Do you add thermal protection?
Yes — thermistors and thermal cutoffs are included where the original used them or the application needs them.
Minimum quantity?
One. Single replacement packs are normal work.
